Twine in the SPOTLIGHT

This post is to celebrate my 605 likers on Facebook! 605! Thank you so much, each and every one of you.

And so I tried to think of a giveaway prize that would thrill most of you. What would make nearly everyone I know happy..?

How about a Spotlight voucher?

I'm sure I just heard a few excited shrieks.

So, how much? How much would you like to spend at Spotlight?

Uh, let's be realistic..!

How about a $50 Spotlight voucher?

Yes?

Yay!

All you have to do is be a 'liker' of the Whimsy Farm Twine Facebook page, and answer this question for me. If I were to introduce a blue, white and red twine - what would YOU call it?

Blue, white and red - often thought of as airmail colours. I, however, think of them as Australian colours! And so I'd like this twine to have an Australian name.

How about... Kylie?

Sheila?

Shazza?

Write your suggestions below to go into the running to win a $50 Spotlight voucher. Make sure you use your name and not "Anonymous" as I need to know the winner's name!

The winner will be drawn at random on Monday, the 10th of September 2012, at 7pm AEST.

This contest is only open to Australian and New Zealand residents - sorry!

Good luck,
Angie. xx

Would love to see a Kath & Kym twine one day! LOL

What about Jessica - based on Jessica by Bryce Courtney, or Sigrid Thornton's role as Jessica in Man from Snowy River (my all time fav movie)

  14. Well I'd say Indie or Indiana :o) Indie to me makes me think of being relaxed and Aussie. It is also my little girls name but I love it as a name for the twine too. Plus those 3 colours are strong colours together and Indie represents strength :o)

  15. I am thinking Tilly, as a shortened Aussie nickname for Matilda :)

  16. Southern Belle. The white stars on the Aust flag represent the Southern Cross.

Not so feminine names (but Aussie) that came to mind are Bluey,Howzat or Sydney.

  19. What what about Sydney, Melbourne or Melba and Adelaide.

  20. I LOVE red, white and blue together! I think NERIDA would be just perfect as a name. It's an indigenous Australian word meaning 'water lily', and is one of few truly Australian girls' names.

  29. What another great giveaway - well I would like to put a different spin on things and as I have 3 boys I would like to go down that path and the name I think is great is JACK - as in the Union Jack which is on our flag. You have alot of girls names for your fantastic twine (I have alot and use alot of them) so a boys name would be fantastic!!! Wouldn't you like a little boy to add to your collection???

I have only discovered coloured twine recently and love the idea of a tri colour twine. Putting the aussie colours together is a great idea for using twine to wrap Chrissy presents to family and friends. What about the name Cooee!!! Its neither boys or girls name just all Australian. If you are out in the bush this call has got to be the all Australian way to find someone.

  31. What about star spangled?

  34. How about Uluru, the red rock set against a blue sky with the wisp of white cloud.....just a thought :)
